Trần Ngọc Minh
Business Owner, District 7
I had been putting off my will for years because I did not know where to begin with assets in both Vietnam and Australia. The team walked me through every step without rushing anything. They coordinated with my solicitor in Melbourne and the whole process took about six weeks. I feel much more settled now knowing things are in order.

Compliance Director, Manufacturing
Our factory expansion required a full environmental impact assessment under new provincial regulations. sondeomy handled the regulatory mapping and helped us prepare submission documents. There was one delay related to a local authority response time, but the team kept us informed throughout. The permit was issued on schedule.

Lê Thị Hương
Retired Educator, Thủ Đức
After my husband passed away, I needed to sort out property titles and a succession plan for our children. The lawyer I spoke with was patient and explained Vietnamese inheritance rules in terms I could follow. They also helped us avoid a potential dispute between family members. Very grateful.

Robert Petersen
CEO, Logistics Firm
We had a contract dispute with a Vietnamese supplier that escalated to arbitration through VIAC. sondeomy represented us and the matter was resolved in our favour after about five months. Their familiarity with both the procedural and cultural side of things made a noticeable difference. The fee structure was fair and clearly communicated upfront.

Property Developer, Bình Dương
Land-use permits for a mixed-use development near the new metro corridor. We had been stuck for months with another firm. sondeomy picked things up, identified the procedural gap, and we had our approvals within ten weeks. They knew exactly which departments to approach and when.

Expat, District 2
As a British national living in Saigon for eight years, I wanted my will to reflect both UK and Vietnamese considerations. The lawyer took the time to understand my situation properly and explained areas where the two systems interact. Straightforward communication, no unnecessary legal jargon. Exactly what I needed.

Case Studies
A closer look at three engagements that illustrate how we approach complex matters. Details have been adjusted to protect client confidentiality.
Cross-Border Succession for a Multi-National Family
Challenge
A Vietnamese-American family held real property in HCMC and bank accounts in the United States. The patriarch passed away without a will, creating competing claims under two legal systems.
Approach
We mapped all assets under both jurisdictions, coordinated with a US probate attorney, and facilitated a family mediation session to reach consensus on distribution before formal court filings.
Outcome
The estate was settled within seven months without contested proceedings. Both Vietnamese and US courts accepted the agreed distribution. Legal costs came in 40% below the family's initial estimate from another firm.
"They took what felt like an impossible tangle and made it manageable. I do not think we would have avoided a family rift without their mediation."
Environmental Compliance for an Industrial Park Expansion
Challenge
A foreign-invested industrial park in Long An province needed to expand operations but faced new environmental impact assessment requirements introduced in late 2024. Two previous applications had been rejected.
Approach
We conducted a full regulatory gap analysis, rewrote the environmental management plan to align with current standards, and coordinated directly with the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
Outcome
The revised application was approved on first submission. The expansion was operational within five months from our engagement date. Ongoing monitoring compliance has been maintained for twelve months with no violations recorded.
"Two rejections in a row had us seriously worried. sondeomy identified exactly where our documentation was falling short and fixed it."
VIAC Arbitration Over a Breached Distribution Agreement
Challenge
A Singaporean trading company faced a distribution partner in Vietnam who terminated an exclusive supply contract without cause, resulting in losses exceeding 8 billion VND.
Approach
We filed for arbitration under VIAC rules, built a damages model using industry benchmarks, and prepared witness statements. We also initiated parallel settlement discussions to manage our client's time and cost exposure.
Outcome
A settlement was reached after four months at roughly 85% of the claimed amount, avoiding the need for a full hearing. The Vietnamese counterparty also agreed to revised commercial terms for future dealings.
"The combination of legal rigour and practical negotiation skill meant we recovered most of our losses without a protracted fight."
