The specific scope, deliverables, and terms of each engagement are defined in a written engagement letter agreed upon before substantive work commences.

4. Engagement Process

A formal attorney-client relationship with sondeomy is established only upon the execution of a written engagement letter that specifies the scope of services, applicable fees, timelines, and responsibilities of both parties. 5. User Responsibilities

Fees for our legal services are quoted in Vietnamese Dong (VND) and are specified in the engagement letter for each matter. Payment terms, including due dates and accepted methods, are also detailed in the engagement letter. Where a fixed fee is agreed upon, that amount covers the defined scope of work. Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and agreed upon separately before it is undertaken.

For staged or hourly billing arrangements, invoices are issued at agreed intervals and are payable within fourteen days of issuance unless otherwise specified.

8. Service-Specific Terms

Will and Succession Planning: This service involves the drafting and authentication of testamentary documents. While we exercise professional care and diligence, the validity and enforceability of a will may be affected by changes in law or circumstances occurring after the document is finalised. We recommend periodic reviews of your testamentary arrangements.

Environmental and Land-Use Compliance: Our advisory is based on the regulatory framework in effect at the time of the engagement. Regulatory changes occurring after the completion of our deliverables may require updated advice. Our compliance assessments reflect our professional judgment but do not constitute a warranty that regulatory approvals will be granted.

International Arbitration Advisory: Outcomes of arbitration proceedings cannot be predicted with certainty. Our role is to provide competent advisory and representation, not to assure a particular result. The scope and duration of arbitration engagements vary depending on the specific dispute.

9. Confidentiality

All communications between you and sondeomy in the context of a legal engagement are protected by attorney-client privilege under Vietnamese law. We maintain strict confidentiality protocols and will not disclose your information to third parties except as required by law, with your written consent, or as necessary for the proper conduct of your matter (e.g., filing documents with courts or tribunals).

10. Disclaimers

Our website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. 14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

For disputes arising from a legal services engagement, the dispute resolution mechanism specified in the relevant engagement letter shall prevail.

15. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any applicable engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and sondeomy regarding the subject matter herein.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it in the future.

Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to any successor entity.
